2017Where our journey began

Our story

One company. Multiple ways to move freight forward.

Atlantic Pacific began operating in 2017 with a straightforward purpose: provide customers with responsive, professional transportation service and build a company where dependable people can succeed.

From our headquarters in Waukegan, Illinois, we coordinate freight across the United States through a versatile group of operations. Our experience includes open-deck transportation, dry van and power-only service, dedicated and time-sensitive linehaul, agricultural projects, temperature-controlled freight, intermodal-related moves, and specialized vehicle transportation.

Our growth has been shaped by customers whose needs rarely fit a one-size-fits-all model. Some require consistent year-round capacity; others need seasonal fleets, specialized equipment, precise appointments, complex route planning, or rapid operational changes. Atlantic Pacific responds by combining experienced dispatch, carefully selected drivers, well-maintained equipment, and direct communication from pickup through delivery.

We continue to invest in late-model equipment and recruit qualified professionals who understand that service is more than moving a load. It means protecting the freight, respecting the customer’s schedule, communicating early, documenting accurately, and representing every organization involved with professionalism.

Our goal is not simply to cover a load—it is to understand the assignment, adapt to the operation, and deliver the level of service that builds a lasting relationship.

Since 2017

Different relationships. Different chapters of our nine-year journey.

Time-critical aerospace transportation

UPS

During one chapter of our company’s history, Atlantic Pacific supported high-value aerospace shipments handled through UPS for Pratt & Whitney, a leading American aerospace manufacturer and global aircraft-engine company. UPS coordinated the transportation assignment, while Atlantic Pacific performed the over-the-road movement and worked directly with Pratt & Whitney personnel during delivery.

The specialized cargo moved straight through from Boston, Massachusetts, to West Palm Beach, Florida. Its value and strict schedule required a professional team-driving operation, continuous transit coverage, extremely precise pickup and delivery appointments, accurate documentation, and constant communication from dispatch through final delivery at Pratt & Whitney.

E-commerce and power-only support

Amazon Freight

Atlantic Pacific has supported Amazon-connected freight during periods when flexible capacity, rapid trailer movement, and responsive coordination were essential. High-volume e-commerce operations demand equipment readiness and drivers who can adjust quickly as schedules and trailer availability change.

This work helped further develop our power-only capabilities and our ability to communicate effectively inside a fast-moving transportation environment. Our dependable execution, timely communication, and attention to network requirements also helped Atlantic Pacific maintain a strong performance score with Amazon Relay.

Rail-to-distribution container transportation

Maersk

Atlantic Pacific’s Maersk assignment involved transporting containers that arrived by rail at major intermodal terminals. Our drivers picked up those containers at key railway points and delivered them to Walmart distribution centers, connecting rail transportation with the final over-the-road portion of the shipment.

The work included short local runs throughout the Chicago area and required precise documentation, reliable appointment management, careful container handling, and close coordination between rail terminals, distribution facilities, and dispatch.

Growing together since 2023

Corteva Agriscience

Atlantic Pacific began its seasonal corn-harvest partnership with Corteva Agriscience in 2023. Since then, the relationship has grown stronger each year as we have supported several Corteva locations and taken on a larger assignment with every season.

These expanding programs require coordinated fleets, specialized belt trailers, detailed driver preparation, and daily communication between field locations, processing facilities, and our operations team. Consistently strong customer satisfaction has helped build Corteva’s confidence in our ability to adapt, perform safely, and deliver dependable service throughout an intense seasonal operation.
